All teas start out from the very same leaf – called Camellia sinensis. It’s the processing of the tea leaf that determines whether the finished tea will be black, green, oolong etc.
What all conventional teas have in common is that once the fresh tea leaves are picked, they are processed or “cooked” in one way or another. Problem is, those processes deplete the powerful EGCG antioxidants vs. levels when they’re first picked.
That is the pivotal difference with Millennia TEA – we want to maximize antioxidants, so we don’t “cook” our tea leaves. We keep them in their most real, raw, naturally-powerful form.
Imaging going into the tea field – in our case, 8,000ft into the mountains in central Sri Lanka – and hand-picking beautiful, organic tea leaves and enjoying them right there, fresh from the field as they did when tea was discovered a “Millennia” ago. That’s the experience we offer our customers – the purest and most naturally-powerful way of enjoying tea in a millennia.
